An Indian playback and ghazal singer. He is the recipient of two National Film Awards and has recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Bhojpuri. With more than 15 studio albums to his credit and as a pioneer of the fusion band Colonial Cousins, he is celebrated for blending classical tradition with contemporary music.

A Tribute to Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan
Haazri holds a deeply personal meaning for Hariharan: a day to remember his guru, Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, through music. At the 2026 edition, held on 17 January at Jio World Garden in Mumbai, Hariharan joined fellow disciples A. R. Rahman, Sonu Nigam and Shaan in a musical offering to their teacher. Marking the Ustad’s fifth death anniversary, the evening brought his students together on one stage. For Hariharan, it was a tribute to the bond, discipline and life lessons he received from the Ustad, and to the influence that continues through his music.
